November 2009

Long after the news media quits reporting, people in Philippines are still hurting after the devastation caused by Typhoon Ketsana. Our ministry team was on hand to meet their needs and share the love of Christ. That and more this issue of Mission:Asia, your window to the Great Commission front lines.

TYPHOON ROARS ACROSS PHILIPPINES
Typhoon Ondoy (internationally named Ketsana) roared across the Philippines Saturday, September 26, 2009, devastating the nation with flash floods and landfalls in several provinces.
Though the nation was unprepared for a disaster of this magnitude, Fairview Victory Church joined several public and private organizations in giving food and funds to Typhoon victims, and organized clean up missions in disaster zones half a mile from the ministry base. In the past week many Victory Church members have been volunteering their time to assist in areas affected by the storm.
Pastor Richard Conte noted, “We’ve given 4,116 bags of relief goods! That's 4000 families who've been able eat! We're distributing not only food &
used clothing, but new clothes, towels, bed sheets, flip flops & straw mats to sleep on, and some building materials too!”
As the country recouperated, Victory Philippines decided to host a worship conference. Hundreds were blessed as a team from Canada taught; Dr. Al and a small team were also there for follow up from the disaster and to help the ministry move forward.
In January, Sawang and I hope to go to this amazing country to get some filming done for Continuum TV and to help minister there where needed. The nation is in the beginning stages of revival, and it’s all hands on deck to usher in a new generation of believers into the Kingdom of God!

SEPTEMBER 2009 MIRACLES STILL HAPPEN!!

MIRACLES STILL HAPPEN!!
Just as we were on the last leg of our “7 Weeks in Asia” summer mission trip, God opened a new door for us in Canada.

Sawang & I were pretty disappointed when we realized going to Canada in June wasn’t going to happen, but God is on His throne and our lives belong to Him.
We left the situation with God, and lo and behold, He made a way where there seemed to be no way for us to get there.
Sawang found a seat sale online and we booked our tickets straight away. We are paying for two tickets, the same price we would have paid for 1 ticket in June.
WE ARE COMING TO CANADA!!!!
We will be in Ontario from October 15th to November 8th and we would love to come and see you!!
If anyone would like us to come speak at a bible study, youth group, cell group, church meeting, prayer meeting, or anything else, we would be delighted to share about all God is doing across the nations of Asia. If you know of any churches who would like to have us come speak let us know at gottawearshades@hotmail.com .
In other news, VBCI Thailand is in full swing now, most of our students have arrived, but we are still waiting on 2 from Burma and 2 from Nepal. Please pray for them, as many people have trouble getting visas out of their countries to come study the bible in Thailand.
Please continue to pray for our ministry team as we serve God for another year to advance the Kingdom of God in Asia.
Looking forward to seeing everyone, will keep in touch with details.
Sawang & Lee-Anne Treetippitak

What’s Ahead For Summer 2009!

Sawang & I were hoping to come to Canada this summer to visit family and connect with new partners; unfortunately we just could not get the money together in time. Some thought maybe that was a sign from God that we should come off the mission field, but we know better. Sawang and I are right where we need to be and are not letting circumstances dictate our future. Thank God for His Holy Spirit, and His Word, which have been faithful to guide and comfort us in time of need.
Though some plans did not work out, we are excited for all God is doing in the nations of Asia! In Burma, our contact John and his team have just finished building their Pig Farm (see main photo, above). This will help Cyclone Nargis victims, once on the brink of death, now move forward in their new life in Christ. The Pig Farm will generate income for Bamar village families, and will provide funds for John & his team to begin restoration in a new village. Praise God for men and women who are sold out to the plan of God; many lives have been restored because of those who went to Burma, and those who gave sacrificially to help this project.
At the end of this month we will also be starting our annual “7 Weeks in Asia” mission trip! We are leading youths from the jungles of Northern Thailand to the worst slums in Cambodia; from the underground churches in Vietnam to our home base in Sriracha! Log onto www.continuummedia.com for weekly reports and video on this ministry.

We want to thank our partners who are helping us advance God’s kingdom in Asia! BUT WE ASK YOU TO PARTNER with us in reaching the world with the gospel. Please prayerfully consider financial partnership; we need your help! We are looking for people to partner with us $10, $20, $30, or whatever God wants you to give.

APRIL 2009 - SPECIAL PARTNERSHIP ISSUE

BE PART OF THE BLESSING!

RESTRUCTURING OF UK VICTORY
Victory Churches of the UK has been a great blessing to the ministry in Asia and plays a vital role in mobilizing us personally into God's Great Commission call on our lives. Due to a restructuring of Victory Churches organization, they will no longer be supporting us financially. The leaders of Victory Churches will continue to provide sending oversight but request that we raise our personal support from individuals.
As we face this sudden drop in financial support, we are urgently appealing each of our friends & family to pray and commit to a monthly amount. Our faithfulness and commitment has been well proven by 6 years of serving this ministry and we simply need to know how you can help us to continue and expand our effectiveness. There are many things you could give into, but sowing finances into the Kingdom will reap benefits for eternity. Any fruit we bear on the field is fruit to your account as well.

WHERE DO I START?
WE NEED YOUR PARTNERSHIP TODAY!
What might seem like a small donation to you really does make the difference!

Together, we will reach Asia for Christ! May He bless you richly for your sacrifice in giving!
